England Woes Continue in Live Euro 2012

In 2 weeks, England have lost two key players in the squad. First was Gareth Barry who got injured against Norway with a groin strain and now to add more salt in England’s wounds, Lampard tore his hamstring which will keep him out of the Live Euro 2012. In this situations, i can surely say, England is truly cursed.  I wonder what Roy Hodgson must be thinking at the moment?
Barry maybe replaced by the newcomer, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Liverpool’s midfield player, Jordan Henderson who was called up by Hodgson to replace the inform Lampard. Lampard who won his place once again in England and Chelsea’s colors and took his team to Champions League glory would be surely missed by his fellow teammates. Lampard and Gerrard had a great understanding in the heart of midfield and when these two come in form, there is no stopping them. If Lampard would still be available for England, Gerrard and he would pose a great threat in the Live Euro 2012 and i would not be surprised if both of them would score some amazing goals which would be worthy to be kept in the Euro 2012 Highlights category. Henderson is an okay replacement to me but not a perfect replacement. Firstly, he lacks match experience and when he was playing for Liverpool, rarely he had a good understanding with Gerrard. To me, Wilshere would be a perfect replacement for Lampard but unfortunately he had a very depressing season with lots of injury setbacks.
After Lampard’s exit, maybe we would no longer see him in his respective National colors due to his age. Its a very emotional and disappointing way to end his International career but this is how football sometimes is.
Injury woes has really depleted Hodgson’s choices as already, there will be no former captain Scott Parker leading his side even though he has resumed his training with England but is still not sure whether he is fit enough to compete on the main stage. There will be no Darren Bent, Barry and now Lampard. Rooney will also not be available for the first and second game in the Live Euro 2012 due to his ban up-liftment. Maybe its time to recall Michael Carrick who retired recently but said that he would only consider to come back and play for England if he was considered to be a first team player and be in the starting line up. Maybe that’s too much, Carrick is asking. However if you see Carrick’s record, he was surely a great asset to England with his passing and versatility. If Carrick is recalled, he can bring in some steadiness in the England squad in the Live Euro 2012 and also got a taste for goal which can prove an extra hand in the Euro 2012 Highlights goals department for England..
England still look the favorites to win the Live Euro 2012 cup but with the injury setbacks Hodgson has suffered over the past few weeks, i don’t think so they can actually win.
